We develop new policies and advocate for solutions that will improve working conditions and economic security for domestic workers. Voting is one way to reimagine a future that allows us all to live with dignity, safety, and respect. We work to educate and engage underrepresented women of color voters because we know that when women of color vote, we build a better world. We leverage the power of popular culture to shift key narratives and elevate character-driven stories of domestic workers by partnering with artists and storytellers. No Medicaid terminations from March 2020 through the end of the federal public health emergency. The national public health emergency has existed since January 27, 2020 and has been renewed by the Secretary of the U.S.

Our Vision

Sign the petition to show your support for the Better Care Better Jobs Act and help improve the quality of care jobs while ensuring affordable, accessible care for all. NDWA is working to shift the way care work is understood, valued, and compensated — to ensure that these much-needed jobs are good jobs with dignity, economic security, and opportunity for advancement. We educate and engage underrepresented women of color voters because when women of color vote, we build a better world. Your support made a big impact in 2024, elevating care as a priority and strengthening worker advocacy. And, in 2025, we need you to help us maintain and build on the progress we’ve goodworkcode.org made.

Under the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act this option has been expanded to cover COVID-19 treatment and vaccines for the uninsured as well. Since the state has not taken up this option Floridians must look to an uneven patchwork of free testing, treatment, and vaccine resources scattered around the state.
